On April 20, 2014, twenty members from the Los Angeles community started their journey to save their own lives be entering The Fitness Syndicate AHA Power Fitness Challenge.  For 8-weeks they committed to receiving the best fitness training and nutritional counseling that Los Angeles had to offer from 13 of the most respected trainer coaches and nutritionists in Southern California called

The Fitness Syndicate.

The Fitness Syndicate was created and founded by Cleon “CJ” Joseph, CEO of CJ’s Functional Fitness.  In 2014 The American Heart Association joined the project to monitor the progress of the participants blood pressure weekly. And provide literature that would help the participants along the way. Radio Free 102.3 KJLH, also joined the team once again as the media partner.

The goal of the program is to expose people in the worst physical state of their lives to everything health and wellness has to offer, in order to reverse preventable conditions like obesity, diabetes, stroke and hypertension.

On June 14, 2014, the participants completed their program.  What started as 20 participants and 5 alternate has finished with 19 dedicated members completing the program.  Below are the final results of CJ’s 8-week community program called The Fitness Syndicate AHA Power Fitness Challenge.
